One Day was released in the United States on 19 August 2011 by Focus Features and in the United Kingdom on 24 August 2011 by Universal Pictures. It was received well by the audiences for its grappling storyline and instant chemistry between Anne and Sturgess. The two play friends, who go through ups and downs, and eventually, they marry. In the end, Anne dies in a road accident. And that is how Sturgess battles with her loss.

Humanity is struggling to survive because there is no produce. The story is about a bunch of astronauts who travel through a wormhole near Saturn to find a of new home for humans since life on Earth is on extinction.
