River Where the Moon Rises is a love story about Princess Pyeonggang and On Dal. The story is set for the empire of Goguryeo and shows us the high spirits and ambitiousness of Princess Pyeonggang. Though Princess Pyeonggang was born as a princess she was raised as a soldier, she has very high ambitions in her life and wants to re-establish the status of Goguryeo. She aspires to be the first empress of Goguryeo. The love of her life On Dal is a loving and peaceful guy who respects everyone around him. The quest for power grows into the mind of Pyeong Gang, for which she might have to forsake everything she possesses. On Dal is a silent and peace-loving guy, who is subtle and calm, to quench the thrust for the throne Pyeong Gang finds her solace in On Dal. On the other hand, On Dal is equally in love with Pyeong Gang and tries every bit he can to make her dreams come true. In the battle of acquiring power and the throne, Pyeong Gang needs to face a lot of danger, hardships, and harsh people. The entire founding journey can cost her everything, will she be able to make it? how will she reach her goal and what will be the fate of her love story is somethings whose answers are unveiled in the drama. In episode 11 we can expect a lot of twists and turns, a lot of political controversy for the throne, we’ll get see On Dal complaining about him turning into a country bumpkin and nothing else, while Pyeong Gang has been working together with the people to rebuild the Suno Tribe. Pyeong Gang and On Dal decide to learn the skills properly if they aren’t good at it. Also, more conflicts are waiting for them when Pyeong Gang tries to stop the mother from going away while she gets hit by an arrow and advises her to run away. Under the direction of Yoon Sang Hoo and screenwriting under Han Ji Hoon, Kim Soo Hyun and Na In Woo have been cast as the main leads. Earlier Kim Ji Soo was cast for the role of On Dal but due to his ongoing bullying controversy, he has been replaced by Na In Woo.
