The title of the episode is ”The Final Pair.” In the morning, Emilico notices that Mistress Kate is in danger and decided to save her. Everything went according to Emilico’s plan, and she dived to save Kate. Kate sees that Emilico cleared a large area of thorn trees, and it help them land without getting injured. Emilico uses a pushcart full of flowers and leaves it to cushion the two not to hit the ground. Mistress Kate is impressed that her student came up with a brilliant plan. But Emilico is bleeding, and Kate realizes that she might be hiding something from her. Emilico reveals that she scratched her face, and Kate suggests to go in a nearby river and get Emilico patched up. The two arrived at the river, and Kate treats Emilico’s scratch and comments that it is not a deep wound. Emilico replies that she a sturdy doll and asks Kate if she is injured. Kate replies that she is fine, and Emilico said they are safe and will pass the test.

The higher-up realizes that the dolls are left with ten minutes to arrive at the checking point. Ryan reveals that the participants have a long road ahead. Kate told Emilico that the bleeding has stopped they can continue with their journey. Emilico notices something and asks Kate if she is telling her that it is too late for them. Kate seems to know the secret beyond Edward’s game, and no matter what they do, they have zero percent of passing. Kate comments that Emilico has been faithful to herself without fooling herself. She also talked about the way Patrick acted while Edward headed somewhere and said it is over. Edward said he always wins the end, but the debut marks a significant step for him. Ed realizes they had so many incidents, but the dolls survived that, and those girls and boys are tougher than expected. Edward realizes that it is for the first time he foresees the loosing of Joh’s power. Ricky also showed that he is good with his master and exceed the expectation. Emilico seems to be like a mastermind behind the success of the girls and boys.
Kate’s Resolve
Riky nearly got flattened, which would have pleased Edward. Barbie and Babara confront Edward, reminding him that the sootglass has not run out yet and he must not rush things. Edward replies that the glass gets finished in minutes, and he doesn’t want to be late for the checkpoint. Barbie realizes that Edward wants to arrive at the location first. Edward comments that the boys and the girls won’t make it in time no matter how they run. Babara told Edward to do what he wants, and Edward replies that kids must listen to him. A hawk delivers a message telling Edward to check the upper level. Edward wonders what Allie is saying. Emilico and Kate are using the mini water well, dashing toward the location. Edward notices them and realizes that he messed up. Edward can’t believe that the competitors will make it will their masters. Emilico enjoys riding a boat on a river. Kate uses Shadow to boost their speed. Kate realizes that Emilico has once asked her about the river and admits they never knew where it comes from and where it goes. That day Emilico insists on knowing about the river, and Kate told her that the river connects to water that supplies the house. The two realize that converting the pushcart into a boat was a fabulous idea. Kate praises Emilico that she never gives up. Edward realizes that Kate can’t control soot and wonders what has changed that made Kate’s powers awaken. Edward thinks that Kate kept a secret from him. Later, Edward got defeated, and Ryan punishes him for defying them.
