About the Game
Skulls & Bones is an action-adventure pirate game developed by Ubisoft Singapore. It is a third-person game. There are supposed to be different types of modes in this game. You play as a pirate, i.e., captain of the ship in the older times. You can do free roam along the oceans and discover famous lands or start your journey as a pirate in the campaign mode. There is also an option for co-op mode where you can go multiplayer in 5v5 battle against others and claim control of unclaimed waters. In short, the game is about sinking other ships and making sure your ships stay floating.
There have been a lot of ground and air action games by Ubisoft, but this sea adventure looks really promising. Ubisoft wants to make this game a huge thing among the gaming community. They have even said that the plans with these games are huge and hence we are facing a lot of problems in executing it. These delays are necessary, and without them, you won’t get to play what Ubisoft has imagined for this game.
Trailer
The cinematic trailer and the gameplay trailer both were launched way back in 2018 during the announcement. I don’t think they are even relevant now because the game has surely gone under a lot of changes. In the gameplay trailer above, you can see your character starting at the bay and getting ready to sail on his ship. You will also see some action sequences between different ships. There will be a massive upgrade in the graphics part since the next-gen consoles are also out. We can’t say anything sure about the changes in gameplay.
Gameplay and Game features
Just as you can customize your cars in all the racing games, you can customize your grand ship in this game. There are tons of customization options available for you, like setting up different types of weapons and sails and other stuff. Weather plays a huge role while sailing. So that is one of the most well-sought things in the game. Adapting to the weather will be challenging as you will have to keep changing stuff on your ship, which will make sure you sail smoothly under any conditions. Even in the trailer, you can see how the massive winds are affecting the battle.
Skulls & Bones Release Date
The biggest question since the last 3 years. When are we going to play this action-packed exploration of the oceans? The answer is we still don’t know yet. Ubisoft Singapore gave a major update about the game in September 2020, which makes you think that the game is really in full flow and will drop anytime soon. We expect that Skulls & Bones game will release by the end of 2021.
Here is what the developers had to say: “Many of you have been thinking why we’ve had to postpone our launch. The answer is that we needed more time. We dreamt something bigger for Skull and Bones, and these ambitions obviously came with bigger challenges.” “These difficulties resulted in necessary delays for the game. Critical questions need to be addressed over the past several months, such as: how do we modernize the pirate fantasy? How do we ensure a more immersive and visceral experience? How do we create cool, memorable moments in-game?
